Welcome to the Hudson Williams Project Photo Gallery

When the Hudson Williams Project first came to my mind the idea was to create an account to share updates about Hudson and his work, while also creating a gallery to collect his photos all in one place. But as time went on, I felt a growing desire to create something more substantial, something that could go beyond daily updates and become a dedicated space to celebrate Hudson's career and the moments that have shaped his journey as an actor, director, and artist.

The idea was to launch the website and the gallery on the same day. But there's a catch: I am incredibly picky when it comes to HQ photos.

I've grown up visiting fan sites for my favorite music artists, and one thing they always had were massive galleries filled with images from every era of their careers. But sometimes, the photos I wanted to use for my own Tumblr edits just weren't high quality enough for my annoying perfectionist ass. So when I launched the project, the website came first. Because, as you might have guessed, finding HQ photos is actually not as easy as it sounds.

Last Sunday, I had the pleasure of working with the incredible photographer Grayson Lang for the launch of the gallery. The idea of opening the gallery with an exclusive photo felt out of reach, especially since I had just started this project and it is still quite small compared to some of the amazing fan pages out there. I shyly reached out to Grayson, not really knowing what to expect, and the response went beyond anything I could have imagined.

So thank you, Grayson, again and again, for being so amazing and for sharing such a beautiful photo with us. I will never forget it, and I will never stop being saying thank you. So you better get used to it. 😉

There are over 2,000 photos for you to explore in the gallery, and most of them are in high quality. I did have to bite my tongue and swallow my pride to include some important photos that weren't quite up to my usual standards. But hey, I'm learning to be more flexible... just like Shane Hollander.

Last but not least: our approach to candid photos:

Any candid photos I receive will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Hudson's safety, privacy, and well-being will always be the priority.

Not every candid photo is necessarily invasive. For example, arrivals and departures from public events are also categorized as candid photos, and those moments can often be a positive way to document Hudson's career and public appearances. That said, paparazzi can sometimes cross the line even in those situations, so those photos will also be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Photos where Hudson may not be aware he is being photographed will most likely not be shared. That being said, every situation will be evaluated individually, especially in public settings where photography can be expected. However, invasive paparazzi photos or situations where his privacy is clearly being disrespected will not be shared. Photos from sets of Films or TV Shows will most likely be included when appropriate, but they will also be reviewed beforehand.

Personal moments involving Hudson's family or friends will most likely not be included, as those are moments where privacy should be respected.

This is an ongoing process, and I am always open to conversations about it. If you have thoughts, questions, or concerns, feel free to send me a direct message or reach out through email. I truly appreciate respectful discussions and different perspectives.

I'm also planning to reach out to some fans to see if they'd be willing to let me include photos from some of Hudson's more recent appearances.

Take the Balenciaga show, for example. The official photographers kind of let me down (there weren't nearly as many official photos as there were from the other Haute Couture shows happening that week👀), but a fan captured absolutely incredible photos. The same happened during Hudson's recent trip to South Korea, where some fans somehow showed up with camera lenses more powerful than my own eyesight.

I'd love to include those kinds of photos in the gallery, with permission and full credit, in a dedicated fan photography category. I think they deserve to be preserved just as much as the official images, and they often capture moments that would otherwise be lost.
