I have a confession to make: I haven't San Diego Comic-Con in years. But one of the biggest highlights of this year's San Diego Comic-Con was the YAGA panel, where the cast and creative team shared new details about the highly anticipated Crave Original series.

Showrunner and creator Kat Sandler was joined by cast members Carrie-Anne Moss, Noah Reid, and Clark Backo for a conversation about the show's development, its unique take on Slavic folklore, and what audiences can expect when YAGA premieres this October.

Although Hudson Williams was unable to attend the panel in person, he appeared in a pre-recorded message for fans. Reflecting on his experience filming the series, Hudson described the project as "a blast".

Actor and musician Noah Reid also had plenty of praise for his co-star, saying fans familiar with Hudson's previous work should prepare to see an entirely different side of him as an actor (so exciting!!!)

He also joked:

"(Hudson) cannot keep his hands off himself. I mean, I don't blame him."

Speaking to IGN, Reid expanded on those comments, explaining just how excited the cast was when Hudson joined the project.

"When we found out that Hudson was joining us on this show, Heated Rivalry fever was in full swing. We all felt really excited by the fact that he was coming on board because we knew it would mean some eyeballs. People love Hudson, there's no question. This show will really highlight Hudson's ability as an actor. He's a great actor, he's a cinephile, and he does his research. People are going to see a different side of him on this show for sure."

Kat Sandler also revealed that Hudson officially joined YAGA after the success of Heated Rivalry, joking, "I am the smartest showrunner in the world!" after securing him for the role of Henry Park.

When discussing the series itself, Sandler described YAGA as "elegant horror". Something that is "gross, but tasteful." It was also confirmed that each episode will run for approximately 30 minutes, giving the series a fast-paced structure that complements its blend of mystery, folklore, and psychological horror.

Fans attending the panel were also treated to an exclusive preview of the series. Eagle-eyed viewers quickly noticed that the missing person poster for Henry Park appears to use one of Hudson's Golden Globes portraits. Complete with the now-iconic Bvlgari necklace.

Between the brand-new trailer, the exclusive footage, and the cast's enthusiasm, the YAGA panel offered an exciting glimpse into one of the most anticipated new series of the fall.
